Story PV is a web-based tool that helps users view publicly available information from public profiles. We do not require account registration or social-platform login.

2. Information you provide

When you use Story PV, you may enter a public username, query, post URL, or other public-profile input. We process this input to provide the requested functionality, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and maintain rate limits.

If you contact us or submit a feature request, we process the name, email address, message, and any URLs or context you choose to include so we can respond, investigate, or handle a rights/removal request.

3. Automatically collected data

We (and our service providers) may collect limited technical and usage information such as IP address, device/browser information, timestamps, pages viewed, and basic interaction data. This information is used for security, fraud prevention, service performance, and improving the product.

Our API may cache public-profile results and related lookup responses for performance, reliability, rate limiting, and troubleshooting. We may also store security logs, request metadata, and abuse-prevention state in systems such as Redis or application logs for a limited period.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality (for example, saving preferences, maintaining sessions, and protecting the service from abuse).

We may use browser storage, including localStorage and sessionStorage, to remember search history preferences, saved search history when enabled, rate-limit status, analytics sampling, install prompts, dismissible notices, viewer preferences, admin or backoffice tokens for restricted tools, and similar client-side settings.

If you opt in to push notifications, your browser creates a push subscription endpoint and related keys. We store that subscription so we can send the service-status notification you requested. You can unsubscribe in the app or through your browser.

5. Analytics, ads, and abuse prevention

We may use Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that requests are legitimate and reduce abuse. Turnstile may process technical information needed to perform that verification.

We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, Rybbit events, and Google Analytics to understand site performance, page usage, feature interactions, and reliability. These tools may process technical data such as page paths, browser/device information, timestamps, interaction events, and approximate location or network information where available.

We may display advertising through Google AdSense and other ad partners. Ad partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to:

• serve and measure ads,
• limit ad frequency,
• generate aggregated reporting,
• show ads based on prior visits to this and/or other websites (where permitted by law).

6. Consent (EEA/UK/CH)

You can clear cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. You can disable search history in the Story PV interface and clear saved search history at any time. Clearing browser storage may reset preferences, rate-limit notices, install prompts, or other local settings.

You can unsubscribe from push notifications through Story PV or your browser settings. You can also use Google's ad settings and regional consent controls, where available, to manage personalized advertising choices.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including HTTPS and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. Children

The service is not intended for children under 13 (or the age required by local law). If you believe a child has provided data to us, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date indicates when changes were made.
